The objective was clear:<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0To identify its structural and functional limits, analyze its behavior in critical situations and apply real improvements<\/strong> to the design.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13031\" src=\"https:\/\/quimipol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/quimipol-Ensayos-de-rotura-en-ventiladores-centrifugos-i1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"481\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><strong>What is a burst test on <a href=\"https:\/\/quimipol.com\/en\/centrifugal-fans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">industrial fans<\/a>?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>A <strong>crash test<\/strong> consists\u00a0 of bringing a fan to total failure under extreme conditions, to study its behavior in critical situations, this type of test allows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Verify the <strong>mechanical and structural strength<\/strong> of the assembly.<\/li>\n<li>Identify weak points in turbine, shaft, housing or fasteners.<\/li>\n<li>Validate the choice of <strong>anti-corrosion materials<\/strong> such as PP-EL, PVDF or stainless steel.<\/li>\n<li>Simulate real-world situations of extreme use: overpressure, foreign objects, vibration, clogging or mechanical fatigue.<\/li>\n<li>Apply tangible improvements in design, manufacturing, and assembly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These tests are part of our culture of continuous improvement and reflect our commitment to the <strong>safety, reliability and real quality of our equipment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13023\" src=\"https:\/\/quimipol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/quimipol-Ensayos-de-rotura-en-ventiladores-centrifugos-i6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"376\" height=\"695\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><strong>How we did it<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The trial was conducted in our <strong>test cage<\/strong>, a controlled and safe environment. The procedure was as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Operation at maximum speed and flow rate<\/strong>: the fan worked for several hours in forced conditions, monitoring temperature, vibration and consumption.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Progressive <\/strong>loading: we increase the resistance of the system to force the stress on the turbine.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Foreign body simulation<\/strong>: We introduced solid particles (metals, debris) that could be found in real industrial environments.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Induced failure<\/strong>: Finally, the fan collapsed. The turbine fractured and the equipment stopped.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Far from seeing it as a mistake, that moment is the one that teaches us the most.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 848px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-13042-1\" width=\"848\" height=\"478\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/quimipol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Quimipol-Video-Pruebas-Ventiladores.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/quimipol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Quimipol-Video-Pruebas-Ventiladores.mp4\">https:\/\/quimipol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Quimipol-Video-Pruebas-Ventiladores.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Results and improvements applied<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>After the post-break analysis, several improvements were implemented, already applied in new designs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Reinforcement of the turbine<\/strong> with new welding points to better absorb impacts.<\/li>\n<li>New shaft anchoring system, more stable and resistant to vibration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Optimization of<strong> dynamic balancing<\/strong>, to reduce mechanical stress in extreme conditions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These improvements are the result of real tests, with real data, in environments that simulate the worst possible scenario.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Why do we do it?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In many industrial sectors, <a href=\"https:\/\/quimipol.com\/en\/centrifugal-fans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fans<\/a> work under demanding conditions: corrosive environments, the presence of flammable particles or gases.
