Industrial Scrubbers

Scrubbers are wet purification systems, where components of an air stream are filtered out using water and additives if necessary.

We custom design these devices to take into account the mass flow of pollutants to be scrubbed, the atmospheric emissions limits for each component and the needs of our customers.

Our scrubbers are made entirely of Homopolymer Polypropylene (PPH) which offers a high level of chemical resistance to corrosive gases. The range of scrubbers includes the QH (horizontal position) and QV (vertical position) models and the flow rate of the design. The units are manufactured with precision numerical control machinery and later assembled by means of thermo-fusion welding using the same material.

The purification method is based on the transfer of material from a carrier gas to a liquid via a plastic filler, which increases the contact surface area of the two phases and is where the physical/chemical absorption reaction takes place.

In vertical washers the transfer of material takes place in a counter-current and in horizontal washers it involves cross-flow.

Both configurations are very efficient at filtering out acidic vapours, NOx, SOx, amines and suspended particles.
